Hi! I'm Angelina.
I'm a native English speaker, British English to be precise. I am CELTA qualified with plenty of experience of online English teaching. I live right in the middle of England, in the county of Warwickshire.
I am a mother and a grandmother. I am also a dog owner and my little dog, Lottie, gives me a great deal of pleasure!
Teaching Background
I am retired now, but my career has been in nursing and nurse teaching. This means that I am a qualified nurse and a qualified teacher in Adult Education (Further and Higher Education). I was a Senior Lecturer at a Birmingham University.
As I was approaching retirement, I decided to train to teach English and completed the CELTA qualification. Language, and learning foreign languages, have always been my passion. With the increase in online learning, I have spent the last 2 years learning and teaching online. I am learning French, German and Swedish, and teaching English. I love being able to teach people, who are studying in their own home, in their own country, just like me.
Teaching Style
Since learners are all so different, I try to ensure my teaching is varied. I like to keep things interesting and entertaining as well as addressing the whole range of language skills. I think of my role as a facilitator. I want to know what you want to be able to do, and then help you to achieve that.
What I offer
A 15 minute 200 point trial lesson is available, just to meet and make sure you feel okay about booking a lesson. You can outline your needs and we can discuss how best to proceed. What sort of learning activities do you like best. How do you best learn .
I can offer tailored personal lessons that are negotiated with me, lessons in grammar, or reading for vocabulary building and improving pronunciation.
Conversational classes are also available; casual relaxed chat, or more formal, structured discussion with specific topics or questions.

My hobbies and pastimes
I like walking my dog. She loves to fetch. 
I love holidaying near water, so it's a lake, a river, the coast or canal boating.
