Hello everyone.
My name is Kumagai Haruka.
I am from Akita prefecture, Japan, and I currently live in Miyagi prefecture.

Although I get nervous easily and am a bit clumsy,
I work hard every day to make my lessons enjoyable and educational for my students.

I was a teacher at a special needs school in Japan from 2018 to 2021. Special-needs schools are schools for children with disabilities.

Even after quitting my job as a school teacher, I still loved to teach and bring people together.
I would like to help people who have a hard time communicating with others for various reasons.

In my lessons, I place the utmost importance on my students having confidence and enjoying their activities. Just as each adult and child has their unique characteristics, the lessons they are interested in also differ.
I will do my best to meet each individual’s personality and learning needs, and support you so that you can feel your personal growth and feel that “I did it!” and “I finally understand it!”

I love to travel!
I especially enjoy onsen (hot springs).

I often buy soft served ice cream at service areas when I travel by car♩
(Some of it is on my mouth in this picture, but I don’t mind. lol)


I also enjoy going to places surrounded by nature. This is Lake Kagami in Nagano prefecture. I find it very relaxing.


Although I enjoy traveling, I’ve actually never traveled outside of Japan. (cry)
In fact, I am very much looking forward to hearing stories about your countries♩
