Hello everyone ^^
My name is Jung Dong-Hyun (정동현), and I am a tutor who is looking forward to having fun with you in our Korean lessons. It’s a pleasure to meet you~~

1. Tutor Introduction

My hometown is Busan, but I currently live in Suwon.
Seoul is also nice, but cities like Busan and Suwon are also very attractive, so I hope you have the chance to visit them as well.
I can recommend some good restaurants, cafes, and tourist attractions~~^^

I have of course (?) joined the military, did a year of language training in Toronto, Canada as a university student, and went to Colorado, USA as an exchange student for a semester.
Thanks to this, I have many international friends from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal, Argentina, Colombia, Russia, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, France, England, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines.

I have many international friends around me who were interested in learning the Korean language and culture, and with the rising popularity of K-POP and K-Drama, I decided to teach Korean language and culture to everyone in a simpler and more enjoyable way as a native from Korea.

My major is Public Administration/Media Studies.

I would say that I have an outgoing personality and enjoy hanging out with others. For reference, my MBTI is ENFJ^^

My hobbies include going to the gym, cycling, hanging out with friends, making Youtube videos, watching movies, listening to music, hiking, and traveling. For reference, I have traveled to 20 different countries.

4. Korean language lessons

I would like to conduct lessons in a way that provokes interest and curiosity about the language rather than textbook-like lessons.

I plan on covering everything from vocabulary and expressions that you might’ve been curious about while listening to K-POP, vocabulary and phrases that you did not understand while watching K-dramas and movies, expressions that Koreans use a lot in real life, recent slang and new words, pronunciation, standard Seoul dialect and Busan dialect, and everything else that my students are curious about and want to know about.

Or, if you are fluent in Korean, I could also proceed with a one-on-one coaching lesson to help fix your awkward grammar and expressions through dialogue.

Finally, I plan to teach not only the Korean language, but also a lot about Korean history, society, politics, law, travel, fashion, music, movies, and other aspects of Korean culture.

5. English lessons

I am a certified English teacher, with a TESOL certificate, and have over a year of experience teaching conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening to elementary and junior high school students at an English cram school.
Therefore, if there are any international students who can speak Korean and would like to learn English, or would like to learn Korean and English together, I would love to offer English lessons for such learners.
If you are Korean and want to learn TOPIK or English conversation, I am available for both one-on-one and coaching.
Although I cannot speak English as fluently as a native speaker, I would like to share with you some of the difficult parts and tips about English that I have learned from my own experience of learning English and studying abroad.

Finally...

I have just started teaching as an online tutor, but I hope to receive a lot of interest from students, and I will enthusiastically do my best to teach you in my lessons, so that you can learn every single thing you are interested about. I hope to meet you with a bright smile~~~~

 Thank you ^^
