MariiaKe Tutor Profile

初めまして! I’m Mariia.

I am a Russian citizen living in Japan. I originally came here by winning a Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT). For several years, I studied Chemical Engineering at Shizuoka University and worked at the Nagoya Institute of Technology afterwards. These experiences gave me a good look at the academic world in Japan, and now I want to help others in their own studies! :-)

I currently work as an English teacher at a Japanese preschool, but I will be happy to work with students of all ages! :-)

So, what do I propose?

For children:
1 - Reading English books together and playing simple, interesting games full of fun!
2 - STEM and English - discover the magical world of science with experiments and joy! (Don’t worry - it’s totally safe for your kid and house! We will use only safe and simple things from your home, such as oranges, spoons, and coins. No fire, no electricity, no danger...)
3 - First steps in English through drawing. I’m not an artist, but I truly enjoy drawing and will be happy to share this joy with your kid so the learning process becomes a wonderful adventure. :-)

For adults:
1 - As a native Russian speaker, I’ll be happy to teach you my own language - from the very beginning to language proficiency! It all depends on your needs.
2 - English conversation. I have studied English since early childhood and continue to actively use it in my daily life (at home and at work) today.
3 - STEM lessons - I’ll be happy to help students and young scientists with publications of their research in international journals, slides for conferences, and Q&A practice. I can do it because I’ve been doing it myself for more than 10 years…
4 - English + Drawing - a relaxed lesson where we can chat while drawing together.

A bit about me:
Besides research, language teaching, and drawing, I really love Japan, its nature, and its people. I truly enjoy being here. If I can help you or your kid somehow, please feel free to contact me! The first meeting lesson is totally free. ;-)
