WHAT IS DICTATION?

Dictation is the transcription of spoken text: one person who is "dictating" speaks and another who is "taking dictation" writes down the words as they are spoken. (Wikipedia)

Writing Korean in a correct way is critical as much as you speak the language correctly. It is essential to write a sentence with the correct spellings and spacing in the Korean language. Every elementary school tests students’ writing skills during the first and second grades in Korea. Teachers speak a sentence, and students write down the spoken sentence. The test is graded based on spelling and spacing between words.

to the Korean Dictation Challenge!

You can challenge your Korean writing skill with Cafetalk’s dictation challenge. Listen to 10 sentences(or words) provided by Cafetalk’s favorite Korean tutor(or staff) and type sentences on the page. The system will automatically give you a score right after submitting the test. We will draw winners who get 100 percent on this challenge. Please select your level and click join to start a test. Each test contains 10 sentences(or words). You can listen to an audio file when you click a play button and check your score by clicking the submit button.
