What is CILS?
CILS (Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera) is an Italian language proficiency test recognized by the Italian government and administered by Universita' per Stranieri di Siena.
The test is offered in 550 locations around the world and is taken by more than 10000 people. Holders of the CILS level Due-B2 are exempt from taking the Italian language proficiency test when entering an Italian university, and sometimes foreigners wanting to work in an Italian corporation must present a CILS Due certificate.
A comprehensive set of skills (listening, reading, grammar, writing and conversation) are tested.
