breath (氣息) vs. breathe (呼吸)
這個是我們常看到的單字, 但很多學生都會搞混.
首先, 我們必須知道名詞與動詞的不同.
Breath (氣息): 名詞
Breathe (呼吸): 動詞
例句:
After running for 30 minutes, Jane was out of breath.
跑了30分鐘後, Jane快沒氣了.
Before the examination, you should take a deep breath.
考試前, 你應該深呼吸.
It's difficult to breathe after running for 30 minutes.
跑了30分鐘後, 很難正常呼吸.
重點
以後如果只要看到 breath 加個 "e", 就會變成呼吸 (breathe)
out of breath
"out of" = 沒有...的意思
out of time = 沒有時間
out of money = 沒有錢
out of paper = 沒有紙
