Do you want to speak perfect English?

Bettie Ido

Yes, of course you do.  Silly question.

But sometimes anxiety over making mistakes can cause "brain freeze", and the words won't come.  I came across this TEDx talk on an English teaching facebook page, and found it very interesting.

It addresses an issue faced by both students and teachers of English.  If you focus too much on speaking perfect English, can this be a handicap to your ability to communicate effectively?

Have a look.  What do you think?
