I love poached eggs. When I go out for breakfast I order them but when I'm at home I boil or scramble my eggs. Why? I never thought to try poaching eggs for myself. So, this morning I decided to try. So, I found a recipe, followed the instructions and made my first ever poached egg. It didn't look perfect but it did taste good! I know with practice I can become a perfect poached egg maker. So what does this have to do with learning a language?
How about today you try one thing to improve your language that maybe you haven't tried before?
- Make a new English speaking friend (online or in real life).
- Practise something your Cafetalk tutor suggested but maybe you were too scared to try.
- Watch your favourite TV show without the subtitles and see how much you understand.
- Use your new vocabulary when you speak.
So today, why don't you try one new thing? You may not be perfect, but you will feel great and with practice you will contine to improve.
