Hanami sightseeing by car!

StephanieRiann

This year, is unprecedented (Never done or known before).

I never thought this would be how 2020 would be ! Our family must follow more strict protocol then the rest of the people in Japan due to my husbands job. So, I am majorly social distanced , the ony contact I have with people right now except to buy essentials  if needed is online through teaching or chatting with family and friends in Canada and Japan.

I`ve had to risk going into immigration to extend my stay in Japan so that I can continue to live with my husband. ( spouse visas come in 1, 3, or 5 year residency cards. ) since we are newlyweds I was only given 1 year and my residency was about to expire.
With the Cornavirus going to immigration was a stressful exprience, 1. It`s not well ventilated 2. people are too close together 3. I am more able to get ill then some people due to my medical history. So, I am not looking forward to the return in a few weeks to pick up my new residency card, but I will be happy to continue to live here in Japan with my husband. I am praying I get a 3 or 5 year visa this time to reduce this kind of risk in the future.

So, after I finished at immigration my husband thought it would be a good idea to go see some lovely flowers at Kamioshima Campground in Sagaminhara. So this is where we drove. I never even had to get out of the car it was easy and beautiful flower watching experience and very calming.

Please enjoy the 4 pictures below!

Let`s have a chat! I`m curious to know: Have you been social distancing and staying home? ( Why or why not? )

Have you done drive by flower watching like us this year?

I`d love to hear from you. I look forward to meeting you and chatting with you!

Kindly,

StephanieRiann
