Usually in the USA and in Germany, the Easter Bunny is famous for bringing colored eggs and chocolate candies to children on Easter. The children wake up and find an Easter basket full of goodies waiting for them! When I was a girl, I even used to leave carrots out the night before for the Easter Bunny to eat.

However, this year, around the Easter holiday, there was a shortage of toilet paper in the USA and in many other countries in the world. People were even fighting over toilet paper in the stores!

My German friends sent me a picture of an Easter Bunny wearing a face mask and holding a present of toilet paper tied with a pretty bow. 

When I saw the cute masked bunny holding the toilet paper, I couldn’t help but laugh! This year, we certainly needed toilet paper more than chocolate!

In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, the bunny reminded me that there is humor to be found, even in the most difficult times!  Humor helps us to keep our humanity and be happy.
