Hummus - My Favorite Vegetarian Dish

Weekly Topic: My Favorite Vegetarian Dishes

Dee Dee

Hummus is a dip, spread, or savory dish made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini (is a condiment made from toasted sesame), lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic. It is popular in the Middle East and in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe. It can also be found in most grocery stores in North America and Europe.

This dish is very easy to make if you have a food processor. I personally made it at home when I was in Japan and I had my Japanese friends taste it too. It is a healthy and delicious side dish / snack. It can be eaten with bread or sliced vegetables.

You can learn how to make it too by looking it up on Youtube.
