As a child I would go camping often. I was part of the Boy Scouts of America so I would go out to the desert with my troop and sleep under the stars. After putting out the fire, we would clean up the ground of any hard rocks. We would then put out our mats and lie down. Up above us was the night sky. It would loom over us like a heavy blanket.

Sometimes would we talk. Other times we would ask each other questions about each other. Many times, though, we would just lay there gazing at the night sky. We would fall asleep listening to the silence in the desert and watching the glittering sky.
