A resolution is a big word. Inside we have the word "solution", which means "to fix" or "to solve". A solution can be anything, big or small, easy or hard. A "resolution" is a bigger word. That means it's a solution for bigger problems! Usually countries or groups of countries make resolutions. Think of the UN! UN resolutions change the whole world to make it better.

People can make resolutions, too. But these have to be big changes, important fixes. "I want to go to Tahiti" is NOT a resolution. "I need to lower my blood pressure so I am going to stop eating junk food" is a resolution.

A New Years Resolution is a really important change. And my NY resolution is to grow my teaching channel, esljack.stream, and make fun topics and activities for English learners three Saturdays a month (JST).

My channel esljack.stream , also called TPEJack, will have discussions, news, tips, products and services as well as Skype call ins (for a fee). CafeTalk students will get benefits like: follow up discussions from past lessons, announcement for new lessons, and promos for new Hapa Buddy events!

This year I will also build my non-teaching channel and podcasts so they are profitable. This will take a lot of work, 2021 is not a year for sleeping in or partying all night for Jack!
