Mastering English Pronunciation

Senka

Do you ever feel like you're missing something from your lessons that's preventing you from pronouncing certain sounds correctly and consistently?

Sometimes teachers lack the attention to detail and discipline necessary to help their students make progress. Pronunciation is a skill that requires constant effort from both the teacher and student.

Both must have an attitude of humility and persistence. On one hand, the student must accept the numerous interventions when mispronouncing problematic sounds. On the other hand, the teacher has to accept that their students will not always enjoy these corrections and even voice their displeasure at times.

Thankfully, with proper technique, this learning process can be made to be much more simple and straightforward than it seems. When conducting a pronunciation lesson, teachers will often find success if they pay close attention to the biomechanics of each student when words are mispronounced. With visual guidance and asking the student to mimic correct biomechanics of the mouth, mispronunciations can be quickly rectified.

After that..it's all about recognition and repetition.

If you want to try out this methodology, try out my pronunciation lesson.
