Croeso i Cymru! - This means Welcome to Wales in our own language, Welsh.
If you like an adventure, then come to Wales! With castles, beautiful nature and a good dose of local culture, you won't find it hard to enjoy your stay.
Instead of the 3 best places, I'm going to recommend my 3 best kinds of places, since there is so much variety in Wales and there is something different for everyone.
So let's begin!
1. The National Parks of Wales
Wales is mostly made up of lush green countryside. Farming is the main industry and there are some stunning national parks located throughout Wales. The picture above is from the Brecon Beacons. This is where my hometown is located. Wild horses roam the hills and the green valleys stretch into the distance. Other great parks include Snowdonia National Park (north Wales) and Pembroke National Park (a coastal area of south-west Wales).
2. Castles
Wales is famous for rugby, and if you're lucky to be there when Wales play England at the Principality Stadium, it is one of the best sporting events in the UK. The stadium is located in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, which has some lovely old shopping streets, local pubs and a large castle of it's own! I also recommend visiting some of the smaller towns of Wales, such as Brecon, which has it's own jazz and blues festival every year, or Portmeirion which has curious Italian architechture.
