The McLaughlins

The McLaughlin side of my family originally came to Canada from Ireland, and in the early 1900s they were successful in founding the McLaughlin Motor Car Company, which became General Motors of Canada, as well as creating Canada Dry Ginger Ale. I’m very lucky to have such an interesting family history and even a museum in Oshawa, Ontario called Parkwood Estate, which used to be the home of R. S. McLaughlin. This morning I found a short article about the estate on BlogTO (a Toronto arts, culture, and entertainment blog) and I’d like to share it here.

Parkwood Estate near Toronto is home to lush gardens and a tea house (blogto.com)
