A Memory of a Stranger (Poem)

Weekly Topic: What was an unusual experience you had with a random person?

Aug 24, 2021

There is beauty in the unknown.
An abyss of things that are untold.
One may find an angel untied,
or an angel that is disguised.

For as we peer into the void,
Our whim alights upon a star.
Yet what we see is eons old.
Light which has traveled ages far.

Tonight's bright light is forever gone.
A memory of not the present but the past,
As with loved once lost, the mind dwells on.
Yet their presence is here to last.
