Hello, everyoneHow are you today? It’s Teacher Asuka.

Today, I’m going to talk about ‘the things that we need to achieve something’. As you know, winter Olympic Games in Beijing has started since early February 2022 amid Omicron pandemics. Lots of players always give us encouragement and hope.

Taking this occasion, I'd like you to think 'what things we need to achieve our own goal' through watching the Olympics.

To get a good result, what do you think we need? I think it is not only such players perseverance efforts but also continuous support of their surroundings such as coaches, families, friends and so on. I suppose players never forget such surroundings and appreciate them very much, because players don’t fight all their games and hardships by themselves. Therefore, appreciation will give players tremendous power.

Founder and Chairman Emeritus of KYOCERA Corporation, Inamori Kazuo is known as one of a superhuman, who used to make a Herculean effort to rebuild bankrupt of Japan Airlines without his salary, told us that we must live sincerely and hard in all circumstances. He also told us that we need to live to be having 'altruistic mind' from the bottom of our heart, rather than we want to live to be good by ourselves. 'Altruistic mind' implies we want our surroundings to be happy.

I come to know that these five important mindsets like continuing efforts, never giving up, believing, altruistic mind as well as appreciation bring us our future happiness and success.

Well…, come on to get up and keep going, everyone!

Thank you for staying with me as usual.

See you next time.
