How do you interrupt someone politely?

Suja

Interruptions may arise under various situations.

You might need to stop somebody who appears to be dragging their narrative for too long, cut a meeting short due to another appointment or have questions to ask.  How can one interrupt the other without soundly overly rude?

Here are some suggestions:
Ø  Sorry to interrupt but I have a question….
Ø  I don’t mean to be rude but may I please interrupt quickly?
Ø  I don’t mean to be rude but may I please ask a question.
Ø  I’m sorry to interrupt you but I realise that I have another appointment right now. I’m really sorry. Can I get back to you later?
Ø  May I add something quickly?
Ø  I’m afraid we might need to wrap up shortly. Could you please email me the details?
