Weekly Topic: A song that you recently can’t get out of your head

Jun 23, 2022

The song that's been stuck in my head these days is "Parade" by the K-pop singer, Kang Daniel.
Music video here: 강다니엘(KANGDANIEL) - Parade M/V - YouTube

I am not Korean, nor do I speak Korean, but I still enjoy listening to K-pop sometimes! In any case, I feel that this song is easy to listen to --- the beat and melody are not slow, but they're also not too intense. And from the looks of the music video, I feel that the mood of the song is something many people can relate to. I think it'd be fun to learn the dance for the song as well!

A song with a similar feel to "Parade" that I couldn't get out of my head was "One Last Kiss" by Utada Hikaru (music video: 宇多田ヒカル『One Last Kiss』 - YouTube). Utada Hikaru in general is easy to listen to; she just has such a wonderful voice and nostalgic vibe. I find myself trying to hum or sing along with her whenever I hear the song!

Before "Parade" came out, the songs that were stuck in my head were some of PSY's new songs haha. He's such a talented person! I really liked "Ganji", featuring my favorite female artist, Jessi (music video: PSY - 'GANJI' feat. Jessi Performance Video - YouTube). Jessi's "bada** boss" energy is always awesome to hear and see~. I also really liked "That That" featuring Suga from BTS (music video: PSY - 'That That (prod. & feat. SUGA of BTS)' MV - YouTube). It's just such a fun song!

I love music, so I could go on and on about the subject, but I probably shared enough for now! If you'd like to discuss these songs or music in general with me, feel free to check out my "Free Conversation" lesson!

Thank you for reading this far, and happy learning!
