Where did you spend your summer vacations? -In Ukraine!

Weekly Topic: Where did you spend your summer vacation?

Aug 22, 2022

Summer is a wonderful time of the year.
And I spent this summer vacation in Ukraine, in my native village.
Imagine...

.. sunny days are replaced by short warm nights. Most of the time, the weather is clear, and the endless blue sky stretches overhead. Trees are lush in bright green robes. Everywhere under them, the grass grows densely, dotted with floral lights of summer flowers - poppies, bells, clovers, daisies, marigolds... And above them, butterflies flutter and ants buzz. Summer decorates gardens and orchards. Juicy cherries ripen, followed by apricots and peaches. Large red strawberry berries hang low to the ground. Cucumbers and tomatoes are tied here and there. The tenacious prickly branches of the blackberry are completely covered with sweet dark purple, almost black berries. And so everywhere - a riot of color, a festival of fertility, a pleasant feeling of warmth and coziness.

In the summer, birds sing high in the sky or hidden in the branches of trees - nightingale, lark, sparrow - a wonderful ringing voice. And closer to the evening, the music of the summer changes - a chorus of crickets enters, which does not stop until the morning. And even the rain in summer is warm and gentle. Under the tent of low clouds, the air becomes hot. Cool raindrops wash away dust from roads and leaves. Summer is bright, colorful... June is not like August, and in July there is something to please the eye. High clear sky, warm transparent river water, ripe fruits, rich colors all around - there is no person in the world who does not love summer!

And I want to introduce you, my dear students, to my Ukraine, and teach you my native language.

In our country they say: "How many languages you know, how many times you are a person."

Let's go!!!
