Holiday time

Weekly Topic: Where did you spend your summer vacation?

Tutor Mercy

As a child, I always spent my summer vacation with my grandmother and my cousins. We could meet only during holidays. We had a whale of time together. We would do nothing but play all day. We had board games, toy trains but most of all we played in groups outdoors. There were so many moments where we laughed till our stomachs hurt. We made friends with all the other children living in the same street. Ocassionally, we would also help the elders by cleaning their garden and so on. As time went on, we moved to different cities and eventually, we grew apart. Those memories are still fresh though. I got to meet my childhood friends recently and once again our friendship was renewed. It's indeed amazing how a single conversation can drive away the distance that we felt in years. It's so refreshing to think of those moments!
