There was an interesting news article at Engoo news recently. It talks about American opinion about learning instruments. It was very fascinating to read.
It brings up some very provocative questions. Why would instruments be important to learn? Particularly the article mentions parents opinions about their children learning instruments. So what about children learning instruments is important?
I have read before that instrument learning helps brain development. What aspect of the brain? What does it develop? What else can be valuable for children’s brain development?
Personally, I have believed learning languages to be excellent. It helps develop vocabulary. It helps you think about syntax, thus it helps you think about how you talk. It helps you contemplate context. When you try to speak in another language you attempt to expand your perspective to see more than before.
