Consistency and Motivation

Veronica ベロ

Learning a language can be hard, right?!

I'm on a journey to learn Mandarin Chinese and, let me tell you, it's not easy!
What I find helps me is to be consistent and to know my motivation.

What does it mean to be consistent?

This can be different for everyone, but for me, it means practicing at least a little everyday.
That can be speaking with a tutor in my target language, studying flashcards, listening to a podcast, anything!
You don't need to go hard everyday! That's how we burn out!

What does it mean to find your motivation?

Ask yourself why you're learning that language and imagine yourself in one year. Having a reason that you're learning a language can keep you focused on your goals, makes learning more fun/rewarding, and holds you accountable!

What does consistency look like for you?
What is your "why" for learning English?
Let me know ^-^
