VERY ORDINARY SERIES Ⅺ OF MY WANTING TO KEEP TOUCH WITH EVERYON

horii mitsuru

I have a certain kind of respect for our ancestors who tried eating spoiled food, "natto, blue cheese, surstromming, and etc,."

Of course, you know the expression of "spoiled" is not correct I should use the word of "fermented" for it.

What impression did they have when the first time our ancestors saw the fermented things?

Although they must have smelled bad and looked strange, the ancestors tried them. Why did they try to eat the smelled things?

Is the reason they were only so hungry?

Did they think it was ok if they died because of eating them?

Don't you think it's natural for us to eat anyting to save our lives.

To have done those , as a result, we have obtained intestinal bacteria.

Don't you think it's so important for living things to try and error when you look at the life processes of them.
