Trip report: Phu Prabhat Historical Park, Udon Thani, Thailand

Mark Roy

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd post a quick trip report about a very special place I visited last month which was Phu Prabhat Historical Park in the Udon Thani province of Thailand. The rock formations there date back tens of thousands of years and the positioning of some of the rocks defy gravity! I visited the area with my girlfriend who is originally from Udon Thani, and she wanted to show me where her and her friends used to come after school to chill out..... and wow! What a place to go and chill!!
If you ever come to Thailand and find yourself in the northeast region, more commonly known as 'Isan', don't hesitate to come and visit this place.... it has some amazing nature trails and breathtaking scenery.... just watch out for the snakes and spiders that are lurking in and around the rocks!

I never knew she was so strong!

How did that rock get there??

Some much needed shade- it was over 100 degrees that day!
