So, we all know what a gate is. It's basically a door, right? Can we use it as a verb?

In fact, "Gating" is a technical term often used in the fields of science. Wikipedia has almost two dozen ways to define this simple term. It's also common for budget gadgets to have some sort of gating, even if they possess the required specifications, which makes them distinguishable from the high end.
