Idioms describing health and fitness.

Thirzah

It is often difficult to understand Idioms and to use them correctly. Idioms are a great way to communicate and can help you to sound more native.

Health and fitness is a popular topic of conversation for all ages but what would you say if someone asked you if you are in shape or out of shape?

If you are in shape how do you stay in shape?

If you are out of shape do you plan to get in shape soon?

This information might help you to answer these questions.

As you might have seen, in my previous posts, idioms are complicated and not very logical. Their meanings can get very deep. However, with these idioms, I think you should focus on the prepositions used in the phrasal verbs.

Try putting these prepositions in the correct place.

Don't worry if you are finding this difficult just remember that these lessons are for upper intermediate and advanced students.
keep trying your best.

Once you have tried your best book a lesson with me to share your results. I'm sure your hard work will pay off.

Maybe you would like to explore this topic in a conversational lesson. We could debate what it means to be fit and healthy. Do you think it is hard to stay fit and healthy?

Booking a lesson with me is no sweat so don't be a couch potato. I use high-quality teaching materials to help you to develop your already amazing English. I look forward to chatting about health and fitness with you very soon.
