Intermediate Phrasal verbs at Christmas part 1

Thirzah

Phrasal verbs are easier to understand than idioms but you still might find them hard.
You will need an intermediate level of English to be successful with these materials.

Firstly, read these phrasal verbs in sentences where they are being used correctly.

Secondly, try task 2  and match each phrasal verb to its meaning.

How did you do? The next task might be a little easier. Try to write sentences using the phrasal verb that matches the picture. For example (C) from task 1 would fit ok with picture 1 below.

Once you feel comfortable with the phrasal verbs you can plan answers to the following questions and book a lesson to discuss them with me.

I hope you have enjoyed tucking into these phrasal verbs. I'm looking forward to getting together in a lesson with you soon.

Merry Christmas
Best wishes,
Thirzah
