TIPS FOR THE PREVENTION OF SEASONAL ALLERGY
With the arrival of spring and the flowering of trees and plants, many people may experience seasonal allergic reactions. Why does this happen and what can be prevented?

Pollinosis is a group of allergic diseases caused by plant pollen and characterized by acute inflammatory changes in the mucous membranes, mainly of the respiratory tract and eyes.

Plants begin to bloom from the beginning of spring, and finish at the end of autumn. Mid-April is the time for flowering: birch, alder, oak, poplar, elm, willow, maple, hazel, ash.

Any allergy is a reaction of the immune system to external stimuli. Among the prerequisites for the development of allergies, there are, in particular:

genetic predisposition;
chronic bronchopulmonary diseases;
Air Pollution;
passive smoking;
mold in the room;
the presence of other types of allergies.
Pollinosis usually manifests itself in different ways, people may experience: red eyes and watery eyes; runny nose, sneezing, itching and nasal congestion; shortness of breath, difficulty exhaling, rapid breathing, dry and exhausting cough.

Symptoms of allergies are similar to symptoms of SARS or a cold. It is worth remembering that during pollinosis the body temperature does not rise, sneezing is repeated and frequent, itching appears in the ears, nose, throat and oral cavity. The allergy period usually lasts longer than a cold or flu.

Importantly! If you have the corresponding symptoms, contact your doctor immediately.

Preventive measures to prevent manifestations of pollinosis:

Consult a doctor to diagnose the type of allergy. Do not self-medicate! Appropriate medicines can only be prescribed by a specialist.
Wear a mask outside. It will protect against particles of pollen released during the flowering of trees.
Limit walking in windy weather.
After a walk, change clothes on which pollen particles may remain.
Take a shower after going outside - it will help wash away the pollen. Do you have pets? Bathe them more often, especially after a walk.
In windy weather, close the windows in the house.
Do wet cleaning more often.
During the flowering period, it is recommended not to dry clothes in the fresh air or in the yard. Pollen from trees can get on it.
Avoid any contact with the allergen.
Do not stand next to a smoker. Passive smoking contributes to the emergence of allergies.
Allergy can be prevented and prevented in time by consulting a doctor. Take care of your health, read more about flowering plants in your region.
