Minimalist Traveling ( Learn travel related vocabulary )

Weekly Topic: Learning for travel: Planning your spring adventures

Clizia Mondini

When it comes to travel, we all pack differently. I still remember the old days when I was a teen, and my inexperience made me pack for each trip as if I were moving abroad for a year. Over the years, my way of traveling has evolved, and so has my luggage, from a full-size suitcase to a 32L backpack.

Switching to a minimalist* way of traveling and packing offers much more freedom. Traveling with only one backpack makes it simple to move around stress-free.

Here are 5 essentials that I always carry with me in my 7-10 kg backpack:

  1. A pair of flip-flops
  2. A compression bag for dirty clothes
  3. A bandana
  4. Extra charger, earphones and glasses
  5. A face towel

*Minimalist traveling is a way of traveling with less stuff so you can focus on the destination and the people you're with. It can also help you lighten your load emotionally
