再利用といえば、ドイツの「Pfandsystem（デポジット制度）」も重要な役割を果たしています。ドイツでは、ペットボトルやアルミ缶、ガラス瓶などの飲料容器にデポジット（Pfand）が設定されており、購入時に追加料金がかかります。しかし、使用後にスーパーや専用の回収機に持ち込むと、そのデポジットが返金されます。このシステムのおかげで、リサイクル率が非常に高く、環境への負担を大幅に減らすことができています。
