ROAD ADVENTURE IN COTE D'IVOIRE (IVORY COAST)

Weekly Topic: Fun brain break ideas

Sophia Ogah

Taking a road trip to one of the West African French countries was one of my highlights for last year's 'Fun brain break ideas'.

We went together as a tour group, young persons between the ages of 24 to 40. We went by road from Nigeria through Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana and then finally Cote d'ivoire, we passed through three countries by road before we got to Cote d'ivoire also known as Ivory Coast; It was a long journey of about 2 days on the road, but since we went as a group and there was a lot of sight seeing and viewing of the Atlantic Ocean, It was fun and quite memorable.

Cote d'ivore also known as Ivory Coast is a beautiful country, with diverse culture too; but one predominant culture you'll find there that's very interesting is the French culture.
French language being the official language made it more interesting for me to communicate during our visits to the National arts gallery, National park and Museum to see the beautiful widlife in the country.

The country is located at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, so 'fish meal' is one of the sumptuous delicacies prepared in the country; the people are warm, friendly and welcoming which is typical of the French people.

I hope to visit other French countries too, because i love to share my experiences with my students in class.
