Speak Natural English: Making Plans

Brian L

Hi! I'm Brian-sensei, and I help learners speak natural, everyday English.
Here are two useful phrases from my phrasebook, Speak Natural English: 50 Must-Know Phrases for Japanese Learners.

Sounds good.
いいね!それでいいよ!
賛成や了承をカジュアルに伝えるときによく使う表現。

Example:
A: How about meeting at 3 pm?
3時に会うのはどう?
B: Sounds good! See you then.
いいね!じゃあ、その時に。

I’m down for that.
それいいね!それに乗るよ!
カジュアルに「それに賛成」「やろう」と言う時に使う。

Example:
A: Let’s try that new restaurant tonight.
今夜あの新しいレストランに行こうよ。
B: I’m down for that!
それいいね!

Give these a try in your next message or conversation!
