3 Simple English Phrases to Sound More Natural in Conversation

Mirien

Learning grammar is important, but sometimes, using the right everyday phrases can make you sound more fluent instantly!
Here are three you can start using today:

1️⃣ "It’s been a while!" – A friendly way to greet someone you haven’t seen in some time.
Example: “Hi John! Wow, it’s been a while. How have you been?”

2️⃣ "I’m not sure, but I think..." – Softens your opinion and sounds polite.
Example: “I’m not sure, but I think the meeting is tomorrow.”

3️⃣ "That makes sense." – A natural way to agree or show you understand.
Example: “Oh, you were late because of traffic? That makes sense.”

✅ Try using one of these phrases in your next conversation. The more you practice, the more natural your English will feel!
