Personal Goals Bingo 2025 - Progress & Prizes!

Miss Ren.

In 2024 and 2025, I made myself bingo sheets to track certain goals for my hobby... Art!

When I don't have something to push me to: draw daily; to try new things; experiment with materials I already own, which is a surprising amount; or attempt larger projects... I often just do what I usually do.

Which is OK! However, I have recently started to enjoy the discipline that comes with attempting harder challenges or pieces.

When I was visiting friends recently, we began talking about New Years Resolutions or Goals. I mentioned that I do like my bingo sheet concept and plan to use it for the future year. Another friend is trying a Personal Learning Plan for the new year, which focuses on a few topics and pushes you to pursue those topics or hobbies in more diverse ways.

We were discussing how to stay motivated and they were surprised when I said that I am mostly relying on the satisfaction of crossing off a goal. With especially long goals, it feels wonderful!

However, one suggested making sure to treat myself: either at the end of the year or after each accomplishment. That way there's a lingering satisfaction. I can enjoy the accomplishment for longer.

Not only will it strengthen my desire to finish more goals in the coming year, but it'll be a different incentive.

Since I enjoy sweets a great deal, I was considering giving myself about $10 after each goal to get a special treat. There's a boba / tapioca / bubble tea place near me that has fantastic drinks. I could get whatever I want & still have room to tip the owner. Since he's also helping to run events & build local community, I want to use my money to support his work!

Maybe at the end of this year, I'll reward myself for each completed bingo line. As you can see, I don't have any finished so far. However, some are nearly done!

I think I'll give myself a shopping trip for each line. There's a local place that sells donated art and craft supplies for very inexpensive prices. I got a LOT of paper & some of it was very fancy last time I went! And all together, it was just $10 for the bag of goodies!!

So I'll set aside $10-20 for each line I accomplish as a treat for the new year. It'll help me support a local charity & brighten the wintertime. After all, January and February here are chilly and VERY snowy. I'll have to bring light and color into our home somehow.

If you'd like to talk about your New Years goal, or work on your own English Learning bingo sheet, come chat! I have also prepared a downloadable worksheet for you (below).

Happy holidays & best of luck in your studies!
