コンビニでよく聞かれる日本語、知っていますか？Do You Know the Japanese Phrases You'll Often Hear at Convenience Stores?

Japanese convenience stores are popular not only because of their food, but also because they offer many useful services.

However, if you're learning Japanese, have you ever thought,
"What did the store clerk just say?"

Don't worry!

Today, I'll introduce some of the Japanese phrases you'll hear most often at convenience stores.

1. 「温めますか？」(Atatamemasu ka?)

"Would you like me to heat it up?"

This means, "Would you like me to heat this item in the microwave?"

If you buy a bento lunch box, an onigiri, or other ready-to-eat food, the cashier may ask you this.

If you'd like it heated, say:

「はい、お願いします。」(Hai, onegai shimasu.)
"Yes, please."

If you don't need it heated, say:

「いいえ、大丈夫です。」(Iie, daijoubu desu.)
"No, thank you."

2. 「袋はいりますか？」(Fukuro wa irimasu ka?)

"Do you need a bag?"

In Japan, many stores charge for plastic shopping bags.

That's why the cashier may ask whether you need one.

If you'd like a bag, say:

「はい、お願いします。」(Hai, onegai shimasu.)
"Yes, please."

If you don't need one, say:

「いいえ、大丈夫です。」(Iie, daijoubu desu.)
or

「いりません。」(Irimasen.)
"No, thank you."

3. 「お箸はお付けしますか？」(Ohashi wa otsuke shimasu ka?)

"Would you like some chopsticks?"

You'll often hear this when you buy a bento, cup noodles, or other prepared food.

If you'd like chopsticks, say:

「はい、お願いします。」(Hai, onegai shimasu.)
"Yes, please."

If you don't need them, say:

「いいえ、大丈夫です。」(Iie, daijoubu desu.)
or

「いりません。」(Irimasen.)
"No, thank you."

Because convenience store staff serve many customers every day, they often speak very quickly.

At first, it might be difficult to understand them.

But if you remember these simple phrases, you'll be able to respond with confidence the next time you visit a convenience store in Japan!

日本のコンビニは食べ物だけでなく、さまざまなサービスもあるのでとても便利ですよね。
でも、日本語を学習中の方は、「今、店員さんなんて言ったの？」と困ったことはありませんか。

今回はコンビニで特によく聞かれる日本語のフレーズをご紹介します！

1．「温めますか。(Atatamemasuka?)」Would you like me to heat it up?
これは「電子レンジでこの商品を温めますか。」という意味です。
お弁当やおにぎりなどを買うと、店員さんから聞かれることがあります。

温めてほしい時→「はい、お願いします。(Hai,onegai shimasu)」(Yes,please.)
温めなくてもいい時→「いいえ、大丈夫です。(Iie,daijoubu desu)」(No,thank you.)
と言いましょう。

2．「袋はいりますか。(Fukuro wa irimasu ka?)」Do you need a bag?
日本では商品を入れる袋は有料（ゆうりょう）のところが多いです。
そのため袋が必要かどうか聞かれることがあります。

袋がほしい時→「はい、お願いします。(Hai,onegai shimasu)」(Yes,please.)
袋がいらない時→「いいえ、大丈夫です。(Iie,daijoubu desu)」or 「いりません。(Irimasen)」
　　　　　　　　　(No,thank you.)
と言いましょう。

3．「お箸はお付けしますか。（Ohashi wa otsuke shimasu ka?)」Would you like chopsticks?
お弁当やカップラーメンなどを買うと、聞かれることが多いです。

お箸がほしい時→「はい、お願いします。(Hai,onegai shimasu)」(Yes,please.)
お箸がいらない時→「いいえ、大丈夫です。(Iie,daijoubu desu)」or 「いりません。（Irimasen)」
　　　　　　　　　　(No,thank you.)
と言いましょう。

店員さんはたくさんのお客さんに話しているので、とても早く聞こえることがあります。
