この秋、行ってみたいところ　A Place I’d Like to Visit This Fall

私がこの秋、行ってみたいところは京都です♪

私は京都の紅葉が大好きなのですが、最後に見に行ったのはコロナ前。赤や黄色に染まった美しい景色を、また見に行きたいなと思っています。

でも、神戸に住んでいる私のオンライン日本語レッスンの生徒さんによると、最近の京都は本当にものすごく混んでいるそうです。

紅葉や桜のシーズンだけではなく、それ以外の時期もめちゃくちゃ混んでいて、バスにもなかなか乗れないことがあるみたいです。

世界中からたくさんの方が京都を訪れてくださっているので、混むのは仕方がないですよねー。特に、京都の美しい紅葉を見たいと思う人が多いのは当然だと思います。

それでも、せっかく行くなら、ゆっくり景色を眺めたり、京都らしい静かな雰囲気を楽しんだりしたいものです。人が多すぎると、落ち着いて紅葉を見られないのが少し残念ですものね！

朝早く出かける？有名な観光スポットを避ける？バスではなく電車を使う？それとも、まだあまり知られていない穴場を探してみる？

混雑を避けながら、ゆっくり京都の紅葉を楽しめる何かよい方法はないかなぁと考えています。

The place I’d like to visit this autumn is Kyoto.

I love the autumn leaves in Kyoto, but the last time I went to see them was before the COVID-19 pandemic. I would love to see the beautiful scenery filled with red and yellow leaves again.

However, according to one of my online Japanese students who lives in Kobe, Kyoto has been incredibly crowded lately.

Apparently, it is very crowded not only during the autumn-leaf and cherry-blossom seasons but also at other times of the year. Sometimes the buses are so crowded that people cannot even get on.

Since so many people from all over the world come to visit Kyoto, I suppose the crowds cannot be helped. It is only natural that so many people want to see Kyoto’s beautiful autumn leaves.

Still, if I make the trip, I would like to take my time enjoying the scenery and Kyoto’s peaceful atmosphere. It is a little disappointing when it is too crowded to enjoy the autumn leaves at a relaxed pace.

Should I go out early in the morning? Avoid the famous tourist spots? Take trains instead of buses? Or look for some lesser-known places?

I wonder if there is a good way to avoid the crowds and enjoy Kyoto’s autumn leaves at a leisurely pace.
