There are so many ways to say the same thing! Expand your vocabulary!

Lady Ayame

Hello Cafetalk Community!

I hope you are doing well! I just wanted to say that there are so many ways to say the same thing. It's easy to fall back on cliche's and words that are commonly used (eg: I believe the words, "wonderful" and "beautiful" are overused in the English conversational vocabulary. That's just my opinion.)

The only way to expand your use of descriptive adjectives in your conversations is to expand your vocabulary. A thesaraus with a list of synonyms is a good place to find other ways of expressing similar meanings. Even with native speakers, people who use a more expansive vocabulary in their daily conversation naturally sound more intelligent.

I can help you expand your vocabulary and explain (in English and/or Japanese = "Japanglish") so you understand the meaning of the new vocabulary words that you learn. I can accomplish this in my lesson by "free talk" focusing on questions you may have, or a quick fun quiz that I have prepared for you. Either way, I am sure I can expand your vocabulary by using famous American quotes, movie lines, American Idioms, describing a picture, and other methods to make learning more fun! The lesson is for "You" so I am happy to customize my lessons to suit your needs.

Please take a look at my Profile to see if I am a suitable English tutor for you.

Thank you for your consideration. I hope I get to talk to you on Skype! Have a wonderful day!

Warmest regards,

Lady Ayame
