こんにちは！マレーシア・ペナン在住の英語・日本語講師のKeiko Davyです。マレーシアでは、全ての物価が日本よりも安いという訳ではないのですが、労働力の安いマレーシアでは、お店やレストランで働く場合、時給が5から10リンギなんてことがよくあります。こちらの洗車もその激安の一つ。洗車（確かに洗車場に入りますが、中には人が待っていてちゃんと数人で手洗いしてくれ、またすすぎの後は数人で車を拭いてくれます）に5リンギ（136.4円）、更に、車内の掃除機とふき掃除をお願いするのに更に5リンギ。めっちゃ安ですね！こういうサービスを使うには、オーストラリアでは確か50ドルは払っていたはず。（オーストラリアは労働力の高いことで有名です。）

Hello everyone! I am Keiko Davy, an English/Japanese tutor living in Penang, Malaysia. I won't say everything is cheaper than Japan, but labour is super cheap. You often see the shop or cafe staffs advertised for only RM5 - 10 per hour! This is one of the example, the car wash - RM 5 for a wash (yes, you go inside this car wash machine, but there are workers inside to hand-wash your car and wipe after rinsing), another RM5 for vacuuming and wiping inside the car. So cheap! I used to pay at least A$50 for that kind of service in Australia. (Australia is known for its expensive labour.)
