There are no registration fees, admission fees, or monthly charges at all. Using Cafetalk does not require any registration, admission, or monthly fees. You only pay for the lessons you take, and since it’s not a subscription model, you can take a break at any time.

There’s no set number of lessons! As long as you have valid points, you can take as many lessons as you like, whenever you want, starting from just one lesson.

This is used when booking a lesson on Cafetalk. 1 point is equivalent to 1.1 Japanese yen (tax included).

We accept bank transfers (to Japan Post Bank, MUFG Bank, or Rakuten Bank), credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Rakuten Pay, and PayPal. JCB credit cards can also be used via PayPal.

The minimum purchase is 500 points (550 yen including tax).

Yes, you can resume anytime. Your Cafetalk student account won't be deleted unless you go through the official account termination process. Whenever you're ready to start again, you can just purchase points and resume your lessons.

Many tutors offer free or discounted trial lessons. The trial fee and lesson length differs by tutor. Trial lessons are indicated in green.

Tutors set the lesson length based on the content. We also offer 0-minute lessons (like file exchanges) that don't involve a call. Please check the individual lesson pages for more details.

Our tutor live all over the world and offer lessons at various times. Please check the available times listed on each tutor's profile for specifics.

It's how you book a lesson. Choose a date and time, send a request, and the tutor will confirm it to finalize your booking. For lessons marked "Instant Booking," your booking is confirmed the moment you send the request.

There are 5 types of banners that may show up on a profile picture: 『PREMIUM』『POPULAR』『TRENDING』『RECOMMENDED』and『NEW』. The banners are there help you choose which tutors you would like to go with.

• PREMIUM: Awarded to tutors with over 1,000 completed lessons and high ratings.
• POPULAR: Awarded to tutors with over 500 completed lessons and high ratings.
• TRENDING: Highlights tutors who have recently seen a significant increase in new students.
• RECOMMENDED: Given to highly-rated tutors who offer lessons consistently and have wide availability.
• NEW: Indicates tutors who started teaching within the last 3 months.

Absolutely! Many students take lessons from multiple tutors, either in the same category or different ones. Plus, tutors won't know whose lessons you're taking.

Check out their profile page – some tutors have introductory videos! You can also ask questions before your lesson using the "Message" button on their profile. Sharing your goals or any learning challenges beforehand helps the tutor recommend the best lesson for you.

Coupons are discount tickets that the tutors issue. You can use coupons to receive discounts on regular priced lessons. Please feel free to use them for their designated lessons and time periods.
