製造業で一番大切なことは何でしょうか。それは安全です。従業員や工場のまわりに住む人たちの安全がとても大切です。そのために、日本の工場ではどんなことをしているでしょうか。
私は日本の大手メーカーで長い間、材料の研究開発をしてきました。開発した材料の試作や量産も経験しました。その経験から製造現場でよく使われる安全のことばを紹介します。そのことばから、日本の工場の「安全」と「ものづくり」の考え方を学びましょう。
