How and where do we use at, in, and on for the time?

Description

Using the prepositions of time (at, in, on) correctly form the backbone of learning English. Normally it would be something beginners would focus on, but in my experience, students with even an intermediate level of English tend to struggle with the correct usage of these words and tend to interchange them.
To solve this problem, I would first thoroughly explain when these words are used and in what contexts. For example, at is used to talk about a specific time such as at 8am, at 8:30 pm, at midnight. I would then provide examples and ask them to provide some as well to ensure they understood the gist of their usage.
To solidify their knowledge, we would do some exercises together where they must fill in the blanks of sentences correctly by using at, in or on. This helps them apply the knowledge they have newly acquired and also make them remember it for the future.
After the exercises, should there be more time left, I would ask them to make more examples of sentences where at, in and on are used.
