Business English for Adult Learners
Description
Description:
This course is a great way for adult learners to learn more about using English to effectively communicate in the workplace.
Learning Objectives:
1. Students can use English expressions in presiding a meeting, doing
presentations and handling discussions.
2. Students can answer job interview questions in English.
How do we study?
Biz Talk is a course conducted by giving the student a list of English words and expressions that can be used during presentations, meetings, job interviews and business discussions. These expressions are discussed and explained to the student. After that, the student is asked to use these expressions in their own sentences. The students may be asked to perform a short presentation or practice doing a job interview. The teacher gives feedbacks and corrections after the activity. Another material for the class is reading an article related to the industry where the student is involved. Examples of these industries are tourism, medicine, finance, I.T. and others. These articles are read in class and a discussion will follow. This gives the student a more actual scenario of their industry and a chance to express their thoughts and ideas about the topic.
