INTERMEDIATE SPANISH COURSE (4 50-MINUTE LESSONS)
EXPANDING FLUENCY, ACCURACY AND NATURAL COMMUNICATION

- This is a lesson pack of 4 lessons in total. When you send the request for the first lesson, points for all 4 lessons will be deducted at once.
- Once the tutor confirms the first request, “100% OFF coupons” that can be used for the remaining 3 requests will be issued automatically.
- You can use these coupons to send requests for the remaining lessons.
- The validity period for this lesson pack is 20 days starting from the scheduled date and time of the first confirmed lesson.
Even if the first scheduled lesson is canceled, the already set validity period will not change.

🔸 Lesson 1 – Talking About the Past: Preterite vs. Imperfect
Duration: 50 minutes
Focus: Grammar + Communication
Objectives:
Understand the difference between the preterite and imperfect tenses.
Describe completed and ongoing actions in the past.
Use time expressions correctly to indicate duration or sequence.
Content Overview:
Review of past tense structures: hablé vs. hablaba.
Key time markers: ayer, la semana pasada, cuando era niño, mientras.
Storytelling practice: describing a past event.
Activities:
Contrastive exercises, short readings in past tense, and personal storytelling practice.
🔸 Lesson 2 – Vocabulary for Opinions and Emotions
Duration: 50 minutes
Focus: Vocabulary + Speaking
Objectives:
Learn expressions to share opinions, emotions, and reactions naturally.
Use verbs like gustar, encantar, molestar, and parecer.
React to different situations in short conversations.
Content Overview:
Opinion and emotion phrases: Me parece que…, Estoy de acuerdo…, Me alegra…, Me molesta…
Indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, les).
Expressing agreement and disagreement.
Activities:
Pair debates, emotion role-plays, and vocabulary expansion games.
🔸 Lesson 3 – Pronunciation and Intonation in Connected Speech
Duration: 50 minutes
Focus: Pronunciation + Listening
Objectives:
Recognize and produce natural rhythm and intonation in Spanish speech.
Understand linking between words and reductions in fast speech.
Improve listening comprehension through phonetic awareness.
Content Overview:
Sentence stress and melody in Spanish.
Common features of connected speech: vowel elision, linking consonants.
Practice with natural dialogues and recordings.
Activities:
Repetition drills, listening discrimination, and reading aloud with intonation practice.
🔸 Lesson 4 – Listening in Real Contexts: Media and Conversations
Duration: 50 minutes
Focus: Listening + Interaction
Objectives:
Understand authentic spoken Spanish in short media clips or dialogues.
Identify main ideas, emotions, and opinions.
Respond with short, natural sentences.
Content Overview:
Listening to excerpts from podcasts, interviews, or informal conversations.
Recognizing tone, register, and informal expressions.
Final review of grammar and vocabulary from previous lessons.
Activities:
Comprehension tasks, group discussions, and final interactive listening quiz.
Duration: 50 minutes

Cancellation of pack lessons
• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack
• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
