Lesson Outline:
 
1. Warm-Up (10 minutes)
 Greeting and Introduction
  • Welcome each student with an enthusiastic "Hello! How are you?
  • Inspire responses: "I am fine, thank you!"
  • Introductions:will engage in a friendly conversation with student as friendly conversation starter.
2. Vocabulary Introduction (10 minutes )
PARTS OF SPEECH

1. Noun: A person, place, thing, or idea.
   - Example: television, city,country
 
2. Pronoun: A word that takes the place of a noun.
   - Example: he, she, it
 
3. Verb: An action word or a state of being.
   - Example: sit, is, eat
 
4. Adjective: A word that describes a noun.
   - Example: excited, large,relaxed ,
 
5. Adverb: A word that modifies a verb, adjective, or other adverbs.
   - Example: quickly, very, well
 
6. Preposition: A word that shows the relationship between a noun (or pronoun) and other words in a sentence.
   - Example: in, on, under
 
7. Conjunction: A word that connects words, phrases, or clauses.
   - Example: and, but, or
 
8. Interjection: A word or phrase that expresses strong emotion or surprise.
   - Example: wow, ouch, hey
 
Activity for student After understanding the parts of speech you must be able to do the following:
  1. Choose 3 parts of speech and use it in a sentence
  2. Identity what each part of speech 
3. Listening Comprehension (5 minutes)
  • Activity: Listen and Identify
  • Play an audio clip featuring a simple conversation infused with greetings and vocabulary introduced.
  • Invite students to identify words they hear
  •  Conclude with comprehension questions

5. Practice and Review (10 minutes) I will be using powerpoint presentation slides  
Activity:Worksheet Distribution

A worksheet designed to reinforce matching pictures to words, fill-in-the-blank sentences, and simple quizzes.
 
6. Closure (5 minutes)

  • Reflect on the vocabulary and sentence structures learned in class.
  • Assign students to practice sharing their names, objects they possess, or newly crafted sentences at home.
  • Empower them to record themselves speaking, enhancing pronunciation and confidence.
