Construct 3 is an easy to use game engine with visual scripting to make 2d games such as platformers or top down style shooters

We will use the free version of Construct 3: https://editor.construct.net/
It works in the web browser of your PC/Mac. There's no need to download anything.

Each class, I will provide a finished small structured project entirely based on a single concept and another unfinished project with three exercises which we will work on together to learn the Construct 3 concept. These will include:
Regarding my experience, I learned Construct 2 (the previous version of this software) in 2016 and released a game called BLOC on the Nintendo Wii U the same year. In 2017, I tutored an elementary school student Construct 2 for 6 months where we recreated Super Mario Bros, Pacman, and Bomberman.
We can recreate any NES or 2D game you'd like on the side.

- collisions with solid
- input using keyboard
- mouse input
- events (the visual coding part)
- hitboxes
- variables
- screen effects
- exporting to android, web browser
- AI movement
- physic
