Hi there!
In this lesson, we’ll focus on speaking, listening, and vocabulary building through a fun storytelling activity.
This class is perfect for beginners to lower-intermediate learners who want to practice English in a relaxed, creative way.
Even if you’re shy or not confident in speaking yet, don’t worry I’ll guide you step by step. 😊
Lesson Flow
Warm-Up Word Game (5–10 minutes)
Let’s start with a simple and fun word game to get everyone relaxed and talking.
Here’s how it works:

I’ll say one word, like “cat.”

Then you add another word: “cat runs.”

We’ll build a funny sentence together!
This helps warm up your speaking and listening skills while using basic vocabulary related to stories.
Main Activity
Storytime: “Max and the Missing Sandwich”
We’ll read and listen to a short, easy-to-understand story:
Story: Max and the Missing Sandwich
Max was always hungry. One sunny day, he made a big sandwich with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chicken.
He put it on the table and went to get a cold drink.
When Max came back, the sandwich was gone!
He looked under the table. No sandwich.
He looked in the fridge. Nothing.
Then he heard a soft woof.
Max’s dog, Bingo, was hiding behind the couch with his mouth full of bread and chicken.
Max laughed and said, “Bingo! Next time we share!”
After reading, I’ll ask you simple questions like:

Who is Max?

What did he make?
-
Who ate the sandwich?
This helps check understanding and teaches words like sandwich, hungry, and woof.
Student Storytelling + Creative Twist!
Now it’s your turn!
You’ll try creating your own short story using the words and ideas from the lesson. Don’t worry about making it perfect just have fun!
Then we’ll do a fun activity:
Let’s change the ending of the story!
For example:

What if Bingo drank Max’s drink too?

What if the sandwich ran away by itself?
We’ll share our funny or creative twists with each other.
This part helps build confidence and makes speaking English feel exciting and enjoyable.
