Suitable for beginners and intermediate
Description
Aims:

Learn animal names.
-
Describe animals using simple adjectives.
Vocabulary: cat, dog, bird, fish, elephant, lion, tiger. (Adjectives: big, small, fast, slow.)
Procedure:

Warm-up (3 min): Teacher plays “What’s this sound?” (dog bark, cat meow). Guess the animal.

Presentation (7 min): Screen-share pictures of animals, introduce names. Add adjectives: “The elephant is big.”

Practice (10 min): Matching game (Kahoot/Quizlet Live). Students match animals with size/feature.

Production (8 min): In pairs, students describe: “It’s big and grey. It’s an elephant.”

Wrap-up (2 min): Quick-fire quiz: Teacher shows picture, students type name in chat.
